Ebola Outbreak: FG Begins Training of 250 Volunteers

The Federal Ministry of Health has started training volunteers to be sent to help to contain Ebola Virus Disease in Liberia, Sierra Leone and Guinea.

Speaking at the opening of the Ebola Containment Training in Lagos, Director of the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, Abdulsalami Nasidi said there are 504 volunteers.

Prof. Nasidi said the first batch of the trainees are 250 people drawn from all over the country. He added that almost 98 per cent of them participated in containing the EVD in Nigeria.
