To celebrate and empower African filmmakers, Unilever Plc says it is
now accepting application for its video contest from all African
filmmakers to the Academy of African Filmmakers.
Speaking at a
press conference in Lagos, Managing Director Unilever plc, Yaw Nsarkoh
said the Academy initiative is an opportunity for filmmakers to develop
their storytelling skills and excel in their chosen industry. Nsarkoh
explained that the academy has launched the video contest to create
content for its Lux, Knorr and Sunlight brands. He said the filmmakers
will use the live briefs from these Unilever brands to learn and
identify their professional vision.
Mr. Nsarkoh said the contest is open to all African filmmakers between the ages of 18-30.
