NMA urged Government to allocate more Funds to the Nation's health sector

Nigerian Medical Association has urged government at all levels to allocate more funds to the nation's health sector toward attainment of affordable, accessible and universal health coverage.

Chairman, NMA Lagos State chapter, Tope Ojo, who spoke on Nigeria’s 54th independence anniversary, said although there has been some improvement over the years in the sector more needs to be done to better the lots of Nigerians. He said independence commemoration should be an opportunity to reflect on the problems of the health sector and address them.
