Senate Passes Resolution Bill, Urge FG and UN on Refugees

The Senate has passed a resolution urging the federal government to involve the United Nations Committee on Refugees to provide relief to displaced people in the North East region.
This followed a motion moved by Abdul Ningi. The Senate also urged the affected state governments to deploy funds for the provision of relief materials for the Internally Displaced Persons.
In his remark, Senate President, David Mark urged the federal government to give attention to displaced persons the same way the war against insurgents is being prosecuted.
