Nigerians have expressed skepticism over the federal government’s
decision to enter a cease fire with members of the Boko Haram sect.
The
ceasefire was reached last Friday, after talks by the Private Principal
Secretary to President Jonathan, Hassan Tukur, and a representative of
the Boko Haram sect, Danladi Ahmadu. It was facilitated by the Chadian
President, Idris Derby.
In an interview with our correspondent,
Moses Agada a cross section of Nigerians expressed divergent views;
advising the federal government to tread cautiously.
Others however said the ceasefire deal is long overdue as many lives have been lost to the insurgents.
