Federal Government has reaffirmed its determination to end insurgency
in the country.
Information Minister Labaran Maku quoted President
Goodluck Jonathan as giving this assurance when members of the Northern
Traditional Rulers' Council visited him in Abuja.
Mr. Maku said
President Jonathan explained to the visitors, led by the Chairman of the
council and the Sultan of Sokoto, Sa'ad Abubakar, that measures are
being implemented to restore peace and order in the affected states.
Speaking
on behalf of the Sultan, Yahaya Abubakar pledged the council's support
to the federal government as efforts are being made to end the
activities of the insurgents.
