Lagos to Award Building Contracts to Land Owners in the State

Lagos State government has announced plans to award building contracts to land owners in the state.
Speaking at the official launch of Real Estate United, Governor Babatunde Fashola said plans are being made to increase the number of houses for the Home Ownership Mortgage Scheme from 200 to 300 homes monthly. He said from the monthly State's Internally Generated Revenue, the government has set aside 250 to 500 million for housing to address the supply end of the industry. He said the state will rather buy than build more houses.
