Independent National Electoral Commission has assured Nigerians the 2015
election will be credible despite security challenges in some parts of
the country.
INEC Chairman, Attahiru Jega said this at the Nigerian
Institute of International Affairs' monthly public lecture on Values,
Electoral Systems and the Importance of Successful Elections in
Nigeria. Prof Jega also said INEC is prepared to conduct elections in
Adamawa, Borno and Yobe states which are currently under emergency rule,
guided by the advice of security agencies.
